Titus 2:11-14: For God's grace is revealed for the salvation of all men, as it disciplines us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts and live instruction, and righteously, and godly in this present world, while we await the blessed hope and revelation of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ's glory, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness, and cleanse himself a peculiar people, zealous for good works.
Here we read that Jesus will redeem us from all lawlessness and purify for himself a peculiar people, zealous for good works. We shall be His people. We have therefore no right of ourselves but to the full subject us his ownership and control of contents. This is his work by God's grace.
Eff 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them
This is therefore a central part of God's grace is revealed to us! This is why it is so seriously when many preachers pervert the grace of God into lasciviousness, and deceives people into thinking that Grace nullify the will of God, laws and commandments. It is a perverse grace that leads to lasciviousness.Owning no longer ashamed to break God's laws and commandments. For one has the grace and everything is fine. By this, they refuse Jesus as lord and ruler. One will like to have Jesus as Savior and forgiving power and His cleansing blood but as Lord and Ruler, he is rejected. One has then a lawless gospel and a lawless grace.
Jude 1:4: For some people have crept in, as this sentence is already too long since opskrevet for: wicked, who pervert the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying our only Lord and Lord, Jesus Christ.
But Jesus came to redeem us from all lawlessness! Some translations use redeem us from all unrighteousness also located in this word from Titus 2 But lawlessness is a more correct translation.Lawlessness and injustice are two sides of same coin and lawlessness leading to miscarriages of justice either to God or our neighbor. Obedience to God's laws and commandments, we will therefore keep us from injustice. Grace leads us away from a lawless wandering.
This work begins the moment we are born again and cleansed clean from our old syndeliv. Then begins a journey in and with God's grace. This fulbragte Jesus to us through His sacrifice on Calvary. So when we accept this sacrifice, he will write his laws in our hearts and minds. So long as we continue to be sanctified, we will experience a wonderful release from ALL lawlessness, and continue in the perfection we have to save time.
Hebrews 10:14-16: for one victim, he forever made perfect those who are sanctified. But the witnesses and the Holy Spirit for us: for after he has said: This is the covenant that I will be commanded them after Hine days, saith the LORD: I will give my laws into their hearts, and I will write them in their mind,
Keeping ourselves as God's grace will optukte us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts and to live Godly in obedience to God's laws and commandments. Grace disciplining also to subjugate our own bodies and our own flesh in obedience to God's word. Life emanates from the heart and therefore his statutes (in the words of God) written on the heart to do that the Spirit's life prevails over what we do. We stand against the devil steadfast in the faith and crucify our own flesh with Christ. When we keep our own will and fleshly weaknesses in bondage to the obedience of Christ. The will and desire of this journey is the grace and Teaching us.
1 Corinthians 9:27: But I subdues my body and keeps it in bondage, lest I preach to others, even should be a castaway.
This will always be the fruit of the Biblical God's grace. All other Grace Preaching is a perverse grace in its outer form leads to a depravity. Against this backdrop, it is very serious that in most Christian circles is the perverse grace that has been prevailing. The fruits of it is lack of respect for God's word and lenient attitude to God's laws and commandments.
This was Nicolaitans great heresy that Jesus hated. Nicolaitans believed that grace was so great that it did not need to obey God's commandments. Jesus had done for us and as long as we have grace, it is not so careful what we do and how we live. But this is a Bible strange and perverse grace. The Biblical God's grace works contrary, the power to deny ungodliness and worldly passions, and to submit to God's laws and commandments. Here in lies our salvation and this is redemption in Jesus Christ become us to part. We now arrive at the truth in the blessed position we can read about in the psalm.
Psalm 1:1-3: Blessed is the man who does not walk in the wicked advice and is not in the way of sinners, not sitting in the seat of the scornful but his delight in the law of the Lord and meditates on his law day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by flowing streams, which yields its fruit in its season, whose leaf does not wither, and whatever he does, he prospers.
It is not talking about the laws that applied only between the earthly people Israel and God in the old covenant because it had its limited time and had a covenant relationship between God and the earthly Israel. But we all enthusiasts of both Jews and Gentiles are spiritual Israel, and what we read in God's words about morality,
Sermons and regulations of the new covenant is our desire and urge to bow down under. It is our light and our salvation and our founder, when on his law day and night as Psalm 1 says. This creates the love that is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Love drives us. Therefore, says Jesus in John 14
John 2:21: He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me, but he who loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.
John 15:9-10: As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you, abide in my love! If you keep My commandments, you will abide in my love, as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.
We had not managed this in ourselves, and it was the old covenant weakness. But now we have been promised a new and better covenant. Here comes Jesus, and to cleanse us clean in His blood from all past sins and redeems us from lawlessness. The old are bygone and we see that everything is new! So we were sinners are zealous for good works. Zealous to obey God's word says and to do good and right both toward God and neighbor. In this way, the double commandment of love fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.
Rooms 8:1-4: Therefore, there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit, for life's law of the Spirit in Christ Jesus has freed me from sin and death statute. For it was impossible for the law, because it was weak through the flesh, God did when he sent his Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh, that the statutory requirements must be fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
So! Are you're redeemed dear friend? These verses from Titus 2 is a powerful test. Redeemed from lawlessness! Halleluja! Then the legal requirements met in our walk by the Spirit in Jesus Christ's power and ownership. It really is redemption. When we are not under condemnation but freed from sin and death statute. Hallelujah!
Then came to Jesus, dear friend and be redeemed from lawlessness ALL!Hold one another's mind and turn around! For this we need the power and grace to help in time of the heavenly world. For Spirit and flesh are against each other throughout our earthly journey. If we walk by the Spirit we walk in victory and free from all lawlessness. We walk after the flesh, we will also reap its fruits. It is good to know that we are promised the power of this journey! Hallelujah!
The Holy Spirit gives power to this walk.
The walk starts when we come in through the narrow gate of rebirth. With the heart we believe unto righteousness, and with the mouth we confess to salvation. When starting a new life. Jesus blood cleanses as pure from all sin and so he gives us redemption from ALL iniquity. You will receive power sounds promise to anyone who has gotten into this road. Actual delivery!
Acts 1:8: But ye shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and unto the earth.
Hebrews 4:15-16: For we have not a high priest who can not have compassion on our infirmities, but such as have been tried in all points as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come forward with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time.
